Landmark £25 million gift to name the David and Molly Pyott building

A lasting legacy in the heart of our Regent’s Park campus.

London Business School is delighted to celebrate a landmark £25 million gift from the David and Molly Pyott Foundation and David and Molly Pyott – one of the largest philanthropic contributions in the School’s history. The transformative gift reflects David and Molly’s longstanding commitment to LBS and takes the School’s Forever Forward Campaign beyond £170 million raised

In recognition of their exceptional generosity, LBS’s iconic North Building will be renamed the David and Molly Pyott Building. As the main gateway to the School and a historic hub for learning, connection and collaboration, the building plays a central role in the LBS experience.

Following the completion of planned renovations at the end of 2026, the David and Molly Pyott Building will expand the footprint of Executive Education and further strengthen the School’s ability to develop global business leaders throughout their careers.

The gift will also establish a major scholarship programme for MBA students over the next decade, helping talented individuals access a world-class business education regardless of background.

Commenting on their gift, David and Molly Pyott said:

London Business School has long held a special place for us. We have seen firsthand how LBS shapes careers and transforms lives, exactly as it did for David. We believe deeply that our gift will help LBS to unlock opportunities and achieve its full potential.

An enduring commitment to London Business School

David Pyott MSc13 (1980) is the first alumnus to serve as Chair of the School’s Governing Body and has been a dedicated supporter of LBS for many years. Together, David and Molly have made significant contributions to the School, including support for the David and Molly Pyott Foundation Lecture Theatre, the David and Molly Pyott Foundation Scholarship, and the Sir Andrew Likierman Library

Their philanthropy extends far beyond LBS through the David and Molly Pyott Foundation, which supports initiatives focused on education, healthcare and opportunity around the world.

Dean Sergei Guriev described the gift as a “powerful demonstration of a deep lifelong connection to London Business School and a strong vote of confidence in the School’s future.” Associate Dean of Advancement Emily A. Robin noted that the David and Molly Pyott Building will stand as a lasting symbol of their belief in the power of LBS to transform lives, organisations and society.
