Work is starting to redevelop the Plowden Building into a vibrant and accessible space that is not only at the heart of our Sussex Place campus, but central to the needs of our community.

Watch the fly-through tour to get a real sense of the world-class spaces that are being created:

  • Plowden Lounge, including a café and kitchen, with a triple-height atrium, opening to the quad
  • Career Centre, including a variety of coaching and meeting rooms and the Alumni Career Centre
  • new teaching areas of varying sizes, including space for informal learning and collaboration and an upgraded lecture theatre
  • Student Wellbeing Centre, comprising private meeting rooms for booked appointments and a space for group sessions.

Visitors to campus will soon have a view from Park Road to the quadrangle beyond, thanks to a more open and welcoming façade.

Improving our learning environment is one of the priorities of the Forever Forward campaign. A world-class business school demands world-class spaces. We must adapt to suit an increasingly flexible and remote working mindset and to support our duty of care to those who flourish within our walls. The Plowden Building will be accessible 24 hours a day, with breakout spaces for informal learning. It will help set our students up for success, providing more visibility to our support services and helping to dismantle the barriers to access.

For alumni, the new building offers a fantastic opportunity to collaborate and network with current students, and to activate lifelong learning opportunities alongside fellow graduates.

This important central axis on campus will promote collaboration, development and wellbeing – shaping resilient and brilliant future business leaders.
