My journey has been shaped by resilience, determination and the unwavering hope for a better future. Growing up in a financially constrained household in India, I often heard the word “no” when it came to opportunities, celebrations, or even basic resources. Yet, those limitations fuelled a deep desire within me to create a different life not just for myself, but for those around me.

I completed an undergraduate degree in finance, despite financial challenges that meant funding my education through family loans and sacrifices. Afterwards, I worked at Harvard Business Publishing as their business research associate. In my spare time, I founded an animal welfare NGO which has helped over 500 street animals and co-run an NGO with my mother which provides education and personal development opportunities to 35+ underprivileged children. These initiatives aren’t just passion projects. They are a testament to my belief that even small acts can ripple into meaningful change.

Wanting a different educational experience and eager to give my best, I have always dreamed of a global education that shows me how business is done around the world. I always had this insatiable thirst for more, irrespective of my socioeconomic background. My decision to pursue a Masters in Analytics and Management at London Business School represents a crucial step toward that brighter future I’ve always envisioned. However, I would never have been able to come to LBS if it wasn’t for my scholarship. Receiving that letter was a huge relief for me and my family and I will never forget my dad crying with joy.

I believe it’s important for prestigious schools like LBS to offer scholarships as everyone has the right to a world-class education, no matter their background.

I think education acts as a beacon of hope for many people. Studying at LBS is a way for them to change their lives for the better, as well as the lives of their families, communities and people who depend on them.

I’ve been tremendously enjoying my time at LBS so far. Without a doubt, it is one of the best schools in the world and you’re surrounded by the sharpest minds in business. If you really want to learn about business, this is the right place. I’m also enjoying extra-curricular activities such as being a part of the First-Generation, Low or Intermediate-Income Club, helping such students to reach their maximum potential in the lead up to, during and after their time at LBS.

After LBS, I aim to step into consulting to solve business problems and use my platform to advocate for sustainability, education and social impact. My biggest motivator is hope that hard work, resilience and purpose can transform even the most difficult circumstances into a story of impact and possibility.

The scholarship was an answer to my and my family’s prayers. To everyone who made this possible by philanthropically supporting LBS, thank you for helping me realise my dreams.
