In just 30 hours on 12–13 November, 365 London Business School alumni and friends raised £344,000 during Global Give, our community-driven giving day.
Gifts made will support LBS’s three priority areas through the Forever Forward campaign: championing global talent, shaping the future of business and advancing sustainability. Hand in hand with our donors, we are shaping business and the world for the better.
Eshan Desai MBA1Y2026 is already benefiting from the generosity of our donor community. Funds raised during last year’s community driven giving day contributed to his LBS Fund Scholarship. As an international student, his voice enriches LBS classrooms, allowing him and his colleagues to explore different approaches to today’s business challenges. Below, Eshan shares the profound impact collective support had on his decision to attend LBS and his experience so far.

“Originally from Mumbai, India, I am passionate about finance and love helping people. Working in equity research for the last seven years, as well as studying accounting and finance at both an undergraduate and postgraduate level, has fuelled this passion further. With this experience already under my belt, the One-year MBA at London Business School seemed like the perfect opportunity for me to build on this knowledge without taking a big career gap.”

“Alongside finance, I also have a keen interest in sustainability within and outside of the business world. Whilst working at J.P. Morgan, I volunteered for beach clean-up drives. So far at LBS I have undertaken novel courses with themes around ESG and AI. One course that particularly stands out to me is the Corporate Transparency course taught by Professor Xi Li where I dove into the world of methane emissions in the fashion industry. This research project has been incredibly insightful and has broadened my horizon as I look to continue working in the field of equity investments in London once I’ve completed my MBA. I hope to influence investment decisions of companies, propelling development across pressing fields such as climate change, food and healthcare.
Apart from studying in Dubai for a year, until I came to London I had lived and worked in Mumbai nearly my entire life. I look forward to new and exciting experiences during my time at LBS including taking on the role of Student Ambassador, travelling to New York and Boston for my Global Experience and undertaking a student-led trip next year. The LBS Fund Scholarship has helped to ease the financial burden of these experiences.”
